A Sweet Compliment

I woke up to the sweetest compliment from Hayden this morning.  He had come to snuggle with me in bed and we started talking about wedding rings and what they mean.  Then he smiled at me and said, "Mom, when I grow up I'm going to marry YOU!"

I know it probably sounds weird to others, like something funky is going on, but to those who have children know it's a natural stage that some kids go through...and it made my heart happy to know Hayden thinks I'm something special.
